According to the World Health Organization, Uganda is seeing maternal mortality rates come down to 189 deaths per 100,000 live births in 2024/2025. In previous years, this was over 300. There is still much to be done to prevent the challenges these mothers face.
Midwife Lipsy has been hard at work teaching the WHO Course - Helping Mothers Survive. These hands-on training models are targeted to prevent, detect, and manage life-threatening maternal complications.

Thank you, Lipsy, for your continued focus on the health of Ugandan mothers and babies.
