One of the goals of Lift Up Uganda in addition to Education is to improve primary and emergency medical care in Akonyibedo Village and surrounding communities of Gulu. Located too far to walk to a hospital or health center from their village, people had little access. The St Nektarios Health Center, a Certified Level 3 Health Center, was built to accommodate these needs. Lift Up Uganda partnered with the St Philip the Apostle Orthodox Church in Florida for this project. A complete timeline of the Health Center can be found here.
